Well-known Local Author JANE BUCKLEY Concludes her Epic, Award-winning Derry-based Thriller Series.

As promised to her growing number of impatient readers, Jane Buckley will launch her final book, Hope, V4, in the award-winning, highly proclaimed Stones Corner series next month.

Since the publication of Jane's debut novel, Stones Corner, Turmoil V1, in early 2021, she has produced Darkness V2 and Light V3 in just over two years.

"Each Stones Corner book is a lengthy 400 pages, longer than most fictional paperbacks with around 135,000 words.  I love a physical book, and I find it incredible when I pick up one of my own to see how heavy, meaty and solid it is, especially since I wrote it.  It's still so hard to believe."

At first, Jane penned her debut novel, Turmoil, to attract young adults through a fictional tale that incorporates all the ingredients of a fictional but fact-based thriller based in Derry in the early years of The Troubles.  Nevertheless, the book has proved remarkably successful with men and women who lived and experienced the conflict from an early age.

The hard-hitting series commences in late 1972 and now ends in volume 4 in Derry around the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in April 1998.  Emotional pointers range from supportive neighbours running in and out of each other's homes borrowing sugar or money to top up the electric meter to the lives of the strong-minded women and mothers of Derry's shirt factories who would link arms and walk to work.  We see the British Army raiding homes during internment and, finally, the core of all this chaos, a forbidden love affair.
